Currently, Dylan is producing a creative placemaking public art project based in South Minneapolis.

WHAT GROWS HERE is a story project in which Dylan and his collaborator Michelle Barnes are spending this winter meeting with people who live, work and go to school on and around Chicago Avenue.  They are gathering stories of life in the neighborhood, and in the month of May, will lead a series of free guided storywalks along Chicago Avenue from 32nd to 38th streets, sharing the stories of the neighborhood as they’ve heard them.

WHAT GROWS HERE is one of twenty arts projects included in ARTS ON CHICAGO, a Creative placemaking initiative headed by Pillsbury House and Theater, and its community partners.

Check the above websites for performance schedules in May, or check back here by late April.

You can also follow along with the project by reading Dylan’s blog documenting the progress of the project, and sharing exclusive stories and images gathered over the last few months.
